Salem Church Preschool is hiring two Lead Preschool Teachers.
Salem Church Preschool is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Preschool Teachers to lead our Adventurers Class (3s class) as well as our Explorers class (young 3s class) . We are looking for individuals who believe that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Position Details
- Part-Time non-exempt salary position paid monthly
- Monday–Thursday flexible start and end time based on class times of 9:00-11:30
- 20 hours per week (14 on campus and 6 paid planning hours)
- School year position (August 24- May 20)
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs and development.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and communicate with families regularly.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Supervise and engage children during outdoor playtime and physical education activities.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior.
Summary of Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Familiarity with special education and early intervention strategies is a plus
- Experience creating engaging lesson plans based on PA Early Learning Standards that meet the developmental needs of preschool children.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in order to work with families, colleagues and community members
- Strong classroom management skills that while creating a warm, safe and welcoming learning environment
- Reliable, organized, and collaborative.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet Pennsylvania state childcare employment requirements, including required clearances.
