Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences, possess strong food and beverage knowledge, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, along with fine dining or food industry background, is highly preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment where guest relations and service excellence are paramount.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Ensure timely delivery of orders and check on guests throughout their meal
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations (bussing)
- Assist with food safety protocols, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service and guest satisfaction
- Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability preferred
- Food industry experience including serving, bartending, or host/host roles is advantageous
