Continental Express Inc., is a full service transportation company that specializes in hauling refrigerated food products with a fleet of 550 trucks and 1300 trailers. We are currently seeking Trailer Technicians for 1st Shift to perform maintenance and repairs on semi trailers.
**This is a Tuesday to Saturday work schedule**
Requirements:
- Must have basic hand tools
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Welding ability helpful
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs occasionally
Responsibilities:
- Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on various parts of the trailer such as; tires, brakes, lights, ABS, doors, landing gear, and other items.
- Performs standard vehicle and preventative maintenance on trailers.
- Mount and repair
- Replaces defective components as instructed
- Works unsupervised on most tasks
- Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
- Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT).
- Other support duties as required to support operations.
