Direct Care Worker
We are looking for reliable employees to provide direct care for the members in our group homes. We currently serve the developmentally disabled population in our homes. We are looking for team members to assist in transportation to appointments, medication administration, daily tasks such as cooking and assisting members with chores, and assisting in the daily routines of our clients. The DCW primary responsibility is to provide support and care for the members living in the home and to maintain a safe environment. DCW assist the members by directing interactions, including but not limited to behavioral management, and by facilitating recreational and social life skills activities.
Location: Mesa
Availability Requirements:
Weekend Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-11pm
Requirements/Trainings: Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid, Article 9 Training, Prevention & Support Training, Valid Arizona Driver's License
Job Duties:
- Supervising children and/or adults in the program at all times
- Life-skills training
- Re-directing and behavior coaching
- Training members on house rules
- Transporting members to and from appointments
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Follow an assigned schedule for daily activities
- Oversee members’ completion of daily living tasks
- Follow house rules and schedules to provide consistency
- Complete daily progress notes
- Safely and appropriately utilize Prevention & Support behavioral intervention standards if necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 year old
- Shows care and concern for children and adults with disabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a valid Arizona drivers’ license
- Be able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience with children or adults with disabilities preferred, but able to train highly motivated candidates

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
