Radiographic Technician II
Milwaukee, WI | $80,000 to $110,000 per year
This role performs radiographic testing and inspection for a manufacturer of metal castings serving the military and aerospace industries. The Radiographic Technician II will select appropriate radiographic techniques, position materials, process digital radiographic images, and interpret results to determine pass or fail status based on applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications. This position also supports Nadcap accreditation activities and contributes to a growing NDT program.
Please note that due to government contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this position, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation
$80,000 to $110,000 per year.
What You'll Do
You will perform and manage radiographic operations, including selecting appropriate techniques, positioning materials, and applying digital photography methods to identify and assess defects in components and repair welds. You will process digital radiographic images and interpret results to determine whether parts pass or fail inspection based on your knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications, preparing the necessary documentation and certification for each inspection.
You will review new customer orders to help determine proper processing through X-ray operations and assist in maintaining the radiographic inspection area, inspection room, and associated equipment. You will maintain accurate inspection records and process logs as required by the applicable testing method, and you will participate in Nadcap accreditation activities. This role offers the opportunity to build technical and leadership skills within the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) field.
Required Qualifications
- Certification to Radiographic Testing Level II (RT Level II)
- 3+ years of experience working with castings
- Strong communication and computer skills
- U.S. citizenship, due to government contract requirements (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-high school education in NDT or a related technical field
- Experience with SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or MIL-STD-271 standards for NDT
- Experience with DDA (digital X-ray) protocols, or DDA Level 2 certification
- Interest in advancing technical and leadership skills within the NDT field
