<Duties>
- Develop and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with each student’s specific needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or hearing impairments
- Design engaging lesson plans across core subjects such as literacy education, math, and social skills, incorporating curriculum development best practices
- Implement evidence-based behavioral management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies to support positive behaviors and emotional regulation
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to support comprehensive student development
- Manage classroom activities to foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment through effective classroom management skills
- Provide tutoring, mentoring, and early intervention services to help students reach their full potential in preschool and early childhood education settings
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and behavioral reports while ensuring compliance with educational standards and policies
<Skills>
- Proven experience working with children in special education settings, including classroom experience with diverse learners
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
- Expertise in curriculum development tailored for students with disabilities, including literacy education, math instruction, and library services integration
- Skilled in speech therapy techniques and behavioral health strategies to support communication skills and behavioral management
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and external specialists
- Ability to implement behavioral therapy approaches effectively within classroom routines
- Proficiency in proofreading educational materials and lesson plans for clarity and accuracy
- Experience working with individuals with autism, deaf education needs, or developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and tutoring methodologies for special populations
