Duties
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and swallowing difficulties in home and community settings.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, focusing on improving speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding skills.
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques for pediatric populations, including early intervention strategies to support developmental milestones.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care plans and effective communication strategies.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to support ongoing improvement outside of therapy sessions.
- Trial, assess, and prescribe appropriate augmentative and alternative communication devices to clients while working with insurance to fund them.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with the neurodivergent population.
- Proven experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, and implementing effective therapy interventions.
- Passion for working with pediatric populations and supporting early intervention initiatives.
- Prior experience with AAC and insurance funding is preferred but mentoring/support is available.

Pay: $56.00 - $58.00 per hour
