Job Summary
Play ABA is a trauma-assumed practice grounded in the principles and concepts of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT). Our goal is to teach language, play skills, social skills, cognitive skills, and to reduce challenging behaviors in a way that is fun and assent-based. We provide in-home services to promote generalization of skills and maximized skill acquisition.
We do not aim to make children conform to neurotypical norms; rather, we celebrate neurodiversity and support children in expressing themselves in ways that feel authentic and comfortable. Our core objective is to promote psychological flexibility and reduce rigid thinking so that each child can experience an expansive and meaningful quality of life.
Play ABA targets cognitive, speech, and social skill development; psychological flexibility; language; school readiness; play skills; and the reduction of challenging behavior. We utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to develop individualized treatment programs based on a child’s strengths while addressing skill deficits.
We believe every child has unique and special abilities. We also believe there are no “bad kids”—children learn behaviors that serve a function, though those behaviors may not always be effective for the environments they’re in. Our role is to help children build new behaviors and skills that meet those same needs in more functional ways.
Our BCBAs continually assess each child and use Play ABA’s research-based curriculum to create individualized treatment plans. Our team is trained in a wide range of ABA methods, allowing us to identify the strategies best suited to each child’s learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles, ensuring consistency and fidelity in therapy delivery
- Collect and analyze behavioral data meticulously to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), promoting independence and life skills development
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards
- Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, teachers, and other team members to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Support clients during direct behavioral therapy sessions, applying behavior management strategies to reduce challenging behaviors
- Communicate effectively with clients and families to provide updates, reinforce strategies, and promote understanding of treatment goals
Requirements
- Active RBT credential
- Availability up to 8 pm
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and behavior data collection methods
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement therapy protocols in various settings such as home or school environments
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices including HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and professionalism when working with diverse populations
- Relevant experience in special education or behavioral health is highly preferred; home-based behavioral experience is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
