Mukogawa U.S. Campus is a Japanese University Campus situated on the historical Fort Wright property in beautiful Spokane, Washington. Every year hundreds of Japanese students journey to our campus to improve their English language skills and experience American culture. We are looking for part time Housekeepers to help maintain our beautiful campus and ensure that our students have the best possible experience during their time here. This is a female specific position.
Job Title: Housekeeper P/T
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Lead Housekeeper
Summary: Help maintain and clean Student Dormitories and Classrooms.
General Cleaning of Dormitories:
Daily:
Clean Bathrooms
· Clean counters, cabinets in/out, and toilets.
· Spot cleans walls
· Empty trash
· Mop floors, spot mop as needed.
· Clean under radiators, dust wall heaters, and dust vents as needed.
Clean Kitchens
· Wipe countertops and stovetop
· Clean sink
· Change tin foil in oven and stove drip pans when needed.
· Spot clean walls and cabinets.
· Sweep floors
Weekly:
· Clean front and back door windows in/out as needed.
· Count and bag laundry for linen service.
· Inventories packaged, clean linen.
· Put clean linen in closets.
· Sweep porches front and back as needed.
· Vacuum common areas and stairs.
· Spot clean carpets and walls.
· Dust furniture, blinds, fire extinguishers, and flash lights.
· Mop floors, kitchen, baths, and laundry rooms.
Deep Cleaning: During semester breaks after students have departed
Bedrooms and Common Areas
· Move and clean under and behind all furniture and appliances.
· Dust all furniture, woodwork, dressers, and desks.
· Clean all woodwork including hallways and stairs.
· Clean out drawers.
· Clean blinds
· Wash inside of windows and window sills.
· Spot clean walls
· Wash bedspreads, mattress pads, and blankets.
· Inventory linen when directed.
· Clean mirrors
· Dust and mop floors
· Vacuum rugs
· Spot clean carpet and rugs
Bathrooms and Kitchen
· Clean bathtubs, sinks, and toilets.
· Clean under all sinks and inside cabinets.
· Clean walls and inside of windows.
· Empty all garbage
· Clean blinds
· Clean mirrors
· Dust heaters and exhaust vents.
· Clean stoves, refrigerators, and microwaves.
· Move and clean behind refrigerator and stove.
* Other duties as assigned by Lead Housekeeper or Facilities Director.
*Report any repairs or damages to Lead Housekeeper or Facilities Director.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. They must be organized, efficient, and a self-starter. It is also essential for housekeepers to be detail-oriented with the ability to work alone or with a team. Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence and to speak effectively with internal or external visitors.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to problem solve as necessary while performing duties of the job. Ability to listen to and apply instructions. Ability to request guidance as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Some lifting and carrying of items of not more than 25 pounds. Pulling, kneeling, and twisting may be required for short periods of time. The ability to go up and down four flights of stairs multiple times a day.
