About the Role
We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Bolingbrook, IL. In this role, you’ll oversee daily maintenance operations, ensure equipment reliability, and lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key role in minimizing downtime, keeping our facility safe, and supporting production goals while meeting SQF, USDA, and OSHA standards.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise maintenance staff across multiple shifts.
- Prioritize, assign, and track preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
- Maintain accurate records in our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ensure compliance with SQF, USDA, GMPs, OSHA, and company policies.
- Perform inspections to identify risks, hazards, or equipment needs.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee tools, parts, and inventory to support reliability.
- Collaborate with production, sanitation, and quality teams to reduce downtime.
- Train, coach, and develop technicians to strengthen team capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong understanding of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and USDA compliance.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- CMMS experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, moving equipment, and moisture.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
