Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet & Events Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional event experiences. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of banquets and special events within a fine dinning setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. As a key member of our management team, you will ensure that all events run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of banquet and event operations, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Collaborate with management to understand their needs, preferences, and special requests to deliver personalized event experiences.
- Manage staff assignments, training, and development to ensure a well-trained and motivated team.
- Oversee set up, break down, presentation, and service to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures across all events.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems and manage billing processes.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Conduct staff training sessions on customer service excellence, food safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Address guest concerns promptly to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience within the food service industry or hospitality management environment.
- Extensive background in banquet operations, catering, or event planning with a focus on fine dining or casual dining experiences.
- Demonstrated skills in staff training, team management, and leadership within fast-paced restaurant or hotel settings.
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
