Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented presser to join our dry cleaning team. As a presser, you will be responsible for pressing garments and other fabrics using steam or heat presses, ensuring each item meets quality standards for cleanliness, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Operate steam presses, irons and finishing equipment to press garments, linens, and other items.
- Inspect garments before and after pressing for stains, damage, or improper cleaning.
- Sort and hang finished items according to company procedures.
- Maintain pressing equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow saftey protocols and handle equipment properly to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient and timely processing of orders.
- Ensure high-quality finish with attention to detail, including creases, folds and fabric type.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dry cleaning or garment pressing is a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift garments.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
Work Environment:
- Hot and humid environment due to pressing equipment.
- May require standing for extended periods and repetitive movements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
