Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Class A & B Truck Driver and take charge of transporting materials efficiently and safely across various job sites. In this energetic role, you'll operate heavy-duty dump trucks, semi-tractor with trailer, dump truck, water truck, etc. ensuring timely delivery of construction materials, debris removal, and logistical cargo handling. Your expertise in commercial truck driving combined with a proactive safety mindset will contribute to the smooth operation of our projects. Duties
- Safely operate dump trucks and tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload freight, including hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods, following all hazardous materials regulations.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure accurate delivery routes and timely arrivals at designated locations.
- Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment as required for specific cargo types.
- Maintain proper documentation for all deliveries, including logs for load & unload activities, route details, and compliance records.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and compliance with safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and route adjustments as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and freight transportation across various routes.
- Familiarity, flatbed trucks, tankers, and tractor-trailers is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving.
- Experience handling logistics cargo such as freight, hazardous goods, or specialized loads requiring manual handling skills.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), with endorsements for hazmat or tanker operations preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience with route driving involving delivery schedules over long distances or OTR routes is a plus.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Prepared and on time for scheduled shift with proper PPE.
- Responsible for Daily Shift validations.
- Must possess a current and valid Driver License along with air-brakes and other endorsements to comply with DOT requirements
- Acquire and maintain equipment specific certifications as required.
- Perform and fill out pre-trip vehicle inspection before leaving the yard, check all fluids/tires/lights/ and all signs as listed on pre-trip.
- Perform monthly tool audits on equipment and ensure compliance (vehicle registration/ fire extinguisher).
- Ensure all required permits are complete and on on site
- Follow and/or complete the Detailed Daily Work Plan (DDWP) and ensure crew actively participates, knows and follows each procedure.
- Perform a job walk to identify all potential hazards around working area (underground and overhead utilities) and take procedural actions to mitigate or eliminate them.
- Responsible to load and unload material needed for each job.
- Perform tasks assigned by PLW or Foreman such as operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate/drive all equipment and vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Test the job site for atmospheric hazards such as H2S, oxygen deficiency or flammables with monitor.
- Be actively involved in all safety process including utilizing Stop Work Authority when necessary.
- Develop knowledge of KSI SOPs and refer to the SOP Manual prior to each task.
- Follow all KSI and customer policies and procedures.
- Follow all applicable Federal, State and local driving laws.
- Perform all physical and mental requirements listed.

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
