K1 Speed is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). The right candidate must be able to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and commit to continuously improving how HR supports the organization, including streamlining HR processes.
Job Summary
The HRBP is responsible for the organization’s human resources functions including but not limited to the coordination and administration of all aspects of employee relations and performance management, employee benefits, and leave of absences. The HRBP will coordinate and administer all aspects of the employment lifecycle to ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, while providing instruction, guidance and excellent customer service to employees, managers and department colleagues.
The ideal candidate will have the experience and capability to collaborate with our entire team and provide support for a wide range of complex, confidential projects as well as perform required administrative duties. The candidate will also demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and critical thinking as well as be resourceful when working on ever changing projects. A “roll up your sleeves” mentality to completing daily operational tasks is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design and administer human resources policies and procedures.
- Collect and analyze HR data related to compensation, benefits, training, recruitment, etc. to determine improvements to be made and report to management.
- Oversee and establishes procedures for paperwork completion for functional area.
- Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies.
- Partner with management to provide guidance on sensitive employee matters: coaching and disciplinary processes, best practices related to performance management and issue resolution
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and evaluate sensitivity/risk with direction from the Senior Human Resources Business Partner and escalating complex issues to the Human Resources Director.
- Administer FMLA and the short-term disability benefits, update managers with relevant information and, provide payroll with necessary documentation for processing
- Facilitate voluntary separation paperwork and meetings, conduct exit interviews, capture feedback and summarize the data as well as report findings to Business Leaders notifying necessary internal teams of employee departures
- Ensure data integrity, privacy and accuracy of employee and business information across all HR applications and systems through periodic reviews and audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field along with experience required. Certified HR Professional a plus.
- Minimum two years of HRBP work experience; hospitality & entertainment sector strongly preferred.
- Strong functional expertise of leave and worker’s compensation programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills; written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organization skills; detail oriented; ability to multitask.
- Strong advocacy orientation.
- Risk assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office suite and HRIS knowledge.
- Ability to develop and analyze variety of data/ statistical reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of HRIS databases.
- Attention to detail, pride in quality work and the ability to work as part of a team is a must
Compensation
- Base Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/ annually (salary offered is commensurate with experience)
