Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice at the 2nd to 4th year level to join our dynamic construction and electrical services team. This paid apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in electrical systems across diverse projects, including commercial and industrial settings. As an integral part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside licensed electricians, assisting with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical systems on construction sites and commercial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support accurate installations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks according to project specifications.
- Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Support the setup and troubleshooting of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship.
Skills
- Proven experience working as an apprentice or helper in industrial or commercial electrical environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, schematics, and blueprints reading.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and safety procedures on construction sites.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Experience with construction site practices including framing carpentry related to electrical installations.
