Visual Arts Teacher for expanding Redmond Art Studio
Compensation: DOE
Positions: Part-Time
We are looking to add another skilled visual arts teacher to our team. Prior experience teaching children or adults is required. This is an hourly position leading weekly and one time classes in the visual arts field. Starting lesson plans are provided along with room for additional classes/content to be created by teacher.
Redmond Art Works is looking to hire a high-energy team member that can teach lessons in drawing, painting, and mixed media projects. We are looking for vibrant, adaptable, and positive individuals with excellent customer service skills for our team. This is an hourly position, offering part time but can work up to full time for the right candidate.
Current classes offered through June include:
Drawing 1 & 2 - Painting 1 & 2 - Seasonal date night and family classes - all for ages 8 - adult
4 - 5 Specialized Classes per week
Working 2-3 week nights 4:00-9:00pm
· Required skills and duties:
· Follow lesson plans while accommodating particular needs of students
· Ability to develop relationships with our artist community and current teaching staff
· Self-starter that has ability to multi task
· Positively promoting the mission, vision, and values of RAW
There will also be an opportunity to explore other skills and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
· Introducing new classes and workshops
Qualifications:
· Minimum 18 years of age
· Teaching and/or art experience focused in 2D art
· Background check
