Pay Considerations -The starting hourly pay for this position is $30.50- $48.46. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience. The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range, no exceptions.

Work Schedule - This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 4:30pm and will be on a rotating shift Mondays and Thursdays of 5:00am to 3:00pm
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, provides legal and administrative support to the City Attorney – Criminal Division offices; provides specialized confidential support with responsibilities in all phases of criminal prosecution, recording keeping, and file retention, such as but not restricted to complaint drafting, management of case files, motion prescreening, document preparation, legal motion filing, discovery procedures and requirements, and legal research.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
-
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in law, criminal justice, or legal administration, with two (2) years of legal/law-related work experience.

Equivalency: High School Diploma/GED equivalent with four (4) years of progressively increasing work experience in general legal/law office support.

Knowledge in State of Nevada legal practices and procedures preferred.

Must complete and maintain NCIC/NCJIS certification within six (6) months of hire.
