Job description:
Florentin Bakery is seeking an experienced Dishwasher to support daily kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and product flow throughout service. This role is responsible for the consistent turnover of dishware, cookware, and equipment, ensuring all stations remain fully stocked and that the kitchen operates in accordance with our sanitation and food safety standards.
This position is part of an upcoming new location opening in SEPTEMBER. Selected candidates will begin by training and working at our Hollywood location to fully learn our systems, team structure, and operational standards before transitioning to the new location.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Wash and sanitize dishware, cookware, utensils, and bakery equipment by hand and using the commercial dish machine
- Maintain consistent turnover of clean items to support uninterrupted service
- Operate and maintain the dish machine, including setup, chemical levels, and end-of-shift breakdown
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully compliant dish and kitchen area throughout the shift
- Manage trash removal, box breakdown, recycling, and floor maintenance
- Complete daily and deep cleaning assignments as directed
- Assist with receiving deliveries, prep, and other back-of-house tasks as needed
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of dishwashing or back-of-house experience in a restaurant, café, or bakery (high-volume preferred)
- Working knowledge of commercial dish machine operation and proper chemical handling
- Solid understanding of sanitation standards and safe food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a hot and wet environment, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
- Bilingual is a plus
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
