North American Coating Laboratories is seeking an experienced Accounting professional to oversee financial operations for our high‑precision coating laboratory. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective use of ERP and accounting systems. The Accounting Specialist will manage daily accounting functions, support production and inventory workflows, and provide financial insights that guide operational and strategic decisions.

Duties, including but not limited to:
- Creates and distributes invoices to customers and verify, record, and post payments received, follow-up on past due receivables.
- Reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed and record and process payments for debts owed by the organization.
- Responds to customer or vendor inquiries regarding payments or billing and researches and resolves discrepancies.
- Oversees AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and financial transactions within ERP system and QuickBooks; ensures data integrity across systems.
- Back-up for processing payroll.
Experience
- 5+ years of proven, progressive growth in accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
- Prior experience utilizing ERP systems and QuickBooks beneficial.
- Strong Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook.
- Experience with journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing workflows.
- Prior experience running payroll (ADP, Paychex, etc.) a plus
