Cross‑Functional Role – Event Technician
Position Summary
The Event Technician is a flexible, cross‑trained position that supports multiple On The Fly Events service lines. This role allows team members to work across different event types based on training, certification, and scheduling needs.
Event Technicians are hourly, event‑based employees who assist with setup, operations, customer interaction, and breakdown of event equipment while maintaining company safety and service standards.

Core Duties (All Event Technicians)
- Assist with loading, unloading, setup, and breakdown of event equipment
- Interact professionally with customers and event participants
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized event area
- Follow event timelines and operational instructions
- Represent On The Fly Events positively at all times
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly
Role Add‑Ons (Specialized Certifications)
Event Technicians may be trained and scheduled for one or more of the following add‑on roles:
Game Truck Add‑On – Event Host & Driver
- Drive and operate the game truck
- Host video game events and manage gameplay
- Perform basic troubleshooting
Inflatable Services Add‑On – Inflatable Event Technician
- Set up and secure inflatable equipment
- Monitor inflatable use for safety
- Manage participant flow and enforce rules
Nerf Archery Tag Add‑On – Nerf Archery Tag Event Technician
- Set up Nerf Archery Tag equipment
- Explain rules and safety procedures
- Lead and supervise games
Tent Services Add‑On – Tent Setup & Operations Technician
- Install and secure event tents
- Assist with layout and site preparation
- Ensure tents meet safety and appearance standards
Advancement & Scheduling
- Event Technicians may hold multiple add‑ons
- Scheduling and pay rates may vary by add‑on certification
- Additional training provided as services expand
Employment Type: Part‑time, event‑based, hourly
Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
