Key Responsibilities:
- Bathing: Provide thorough bathing services to dogs of all sizes and breeds, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Drying and Brushing: Dry and brush dogs to ensure their coats are healthy and well-maintained, which maximizes the quality of the groom.
- Basic Grooming Tasks: Perform essential grooming services such as nail trimming and ear cleaning when necessary with care and precision.
- Health Observations: Monitor dogs for signs of health issues such as fleas, ticks, or skin conditions, and promptly report concerns to the grooming staff.
- Sanitization and Organization: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized bathing area to ensure a safe environment for all.
Requirements:
- Must be available Monday to Friday (The salon opens at 7:00am and closes at 5:00pm but the shift usually ends in the early afternoon)
- Ability to lift 45lbs or more and and be comfortable standing/moving for most of the day
- Familiarity with different dog breeds, behaviors, and handling
- Hardworking and capable of thriving in a labor-intensive environment
- A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to their well-being
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
- Dependable and punctual with a solid work ethic
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation
