About the Role

The Transmission Supervising Engineer is responsible for the profitability, quality, and schedule performance of a Transmission Team within the Engineering Department. This role manages resource assignments, oversees workload distribution, and ensures successful execution of multiple concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and profitability objectives.
- Supervise several project teams to ensure on-time completion of multiple transmission line design projects.
- Assign projects based on requirements, scheduling needs, and personnel availability.
- Conduct weekly meetings with project teams to track progress and resolve challenges.
- Coordinate with project engineers to align engineering deliverables with construction and purchasing departments, internally and for external clients.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Transmission Line engineering experience.
- Must have Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams (engineers, designers, drafters).
- Strong knowledge of transmission engineering, including: Routing, Conductor selection, Lattice tower analysis, Structure determination, Plan & profile development and Material takeoffs.
- Proficiency with industry-standard engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE, Sag10, LPILE, FAD, and other applicable tools.
- Extensive understanding of relevant engineering standards including NESC, GO 95, IEEE, ANSI, and ASTM related to transmission design.
