Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to support the development of lateral flow immunoassays (LFIA) for infectious disease and point-of-care diagnostic applications. The successful candidate will participate in assay development, optimization, testing, and documentation activities under the guidance of senior scientists. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on LFIA experience and a strong laboratory background in immunoassays, biochemistry, or diagnostics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments to support lateral flow assay development and optimization.
- Prepare and characterize antibody conjugates, including gold nanoparticle and latex bead conjugates.
- Conduct membrane striping, reagent preparation, and prototype assembly of LFIA devices.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support transfer of assay processes from development to manufacturing.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and reagent stocks.
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures and quality systems requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Immunology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant LFIA development experience.
- Hands-on experience with wet chemistry, biomaterial formulation, conjugation chemistry, or assay reagent development.
- Experience working in a regulated environment with good documentation practices.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
