We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent time management skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete before delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests or modifications.
- Help with cash handling and operate the POS system as needed.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Support catering events or banquets as required, ensuring all guests receive their meals promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall service efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members professionally.
- A willingness to help others, demonstrating teamwork in all aspects of the role.
