American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel contract in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a valid Iowa or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Inpatient acute rehabilitation unit within a regional health center
-
13-bed rehab unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population
-
Common diagnoses and treatments include neuro, trauma, burn, gait training/strengthening, and wound vac
-
Patient ratio of 1 RN to 6 patients
-
Lift equipment is used on the unit
-
EMR system is Meditech
-
Day shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating to Med/Surg as needed
-
13-week contract
-
Active Iowa or Compact RN license required
-
BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
-
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
-
At least 2 years of overall RN experience preferred

Med/Surg, LTAC, or inpatient rehab background accepted

Social Security number required for consideration

Date of birth required for consideration

Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Candidate must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment

Travel experience preferred but not required; first-time travelers will be considered

Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required as part of onboarding

10-panel drug screening including opiates required for onboarding
-
Iowa State Investigative Network (SING) background check required — criminal and child abuse portions must clear; no instant or statewide searches accepted

All background checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start
-
Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be within the last 12 months
