Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met
- Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently
- Build rapport with guests through excellent guest relations and personalized service
- Support team members in a collaborative environment to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is advantageous
- Culinary experience or beverage knowledge including spirits, wine, cocktail mixing, and drink service
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to process cash transactions accurately and handle sales efficiently
- Basic math skills for billing, change calculation, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Experience with serving guests in hospitality environments such as host/hostess roles or bussing is beneficial
- Strong communication skills combined with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest relations
