Christian Halls International (CHI) is seeking a mission-aligned and relationally strong Director of Partner Development to lead a culture of growth and care of our ministry partners who support CHI’s work through prayer and financial giving.
This role will serve as CHI’s lead fundraiser—building relationships with donors, equipping and encouraging local Hall fundraisers, and helping translate CHI’s mission into compelling opportunities for investment. This leader will advocate for the CHI brand with clarity and conviction, helping supporters see the spiritual, educational, and cultural importance of reclaiming local formation and higher education.
From major donor cultivation and campaign strategy to Hall support and fundraising systems, this leader will help CHI grow the resources needed to expand our reach and deepen our impact.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Fundraising Strategy & Planning
● Develop and execute a 1–3–5 year fundraising strategy aligned with CHI’s mission, growth priorities, and organizational calendar.
● Identify and prioritize key fundraising channels, including major donors, churches, foundations, aligned philanthropists, and local Hall development efforts.
● Partner with executive leadership to establish annual fundraising goals, campaign priorities, and advancement initiatives.
● Help define clear cases for support that connect donor investment to CHI’s mission, programs, and long-term vision.
2. Ministry Partner Cultivation & Advancement
● Lead ministry partner identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for CHI’s national fundraising initiatives.
● Maintain a CRM database of current and prospective ministry partners.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective ministry partners who align with CHI’s theological and educational vision.
● Prepare and support executive leadership for donor meetings, presentations, follow-up, and strategic asks.
● Lead grant application and compliance process for CHI initiatives.
● Develop thoughtful stewardship practices that promote trust, gratitude, retention, and long-term partnership.
3. Hall Support & Network Development
● Engage with Christian Halls directors and local leaders to strengthen fundraising capacity and prayer coordination across the network.
● Understand and communicate prayer needs from across the Hall network.
● If requested, provide coaching, tools, messaging, and practical support to help local Halls raise funds effectively and consistently.
● Coordinate with CHI’s Marketing Manager to help local leaders communicate CHI’s mission and value in ways that fit their local context while preserving a unified brand voice.
● Track and share successful fundraising practices, stories, and models across Halls for wider adoption.
4. Brand Advocacy & External Representation
● Serve as a strong external advocate for CHI’s mission, model, and long-term vision in donor-facing and partner-facing settings.
● Represent CHI with warmth, professionalism, credibility, and conviction in meetings, events, calls, and presentations.
● Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to ensure fundraising communications are clear, compelling, and brand-consistent.
● Help articulate why CHI matters—not only as an educational solution, but as a movement of local faith communities reclaiming formation.
5. Campaigns, Systems & Reporting
● Spearhead prayer support across CHI’s network of Halls and ministry partners via newsletters, email campaigns and/or events.
● Lead annual giving efforts, special campaigns, donor communications, and advancement initiatives in coordination with leadership.
● Build and maintain fundraising systems for donor tracking, pipeline management, follow-up, reporting, and stewardship.
● Define KPIs related to donor activity, campaign performance, fundraising growth, and supporter retention.
● Deliver regular reports to the Executive Team on fundraising progress, donor trends, opportunities, and strategic needs.
