Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent quality, effective performance as well as oversee replacements, periodic account reviews for quality control
- Document and communicate with the relavant Department if a design issue becomes problematic for the horticulturist
- Orchestrate the hands-on training and staff development of new employees
- Performance reviews and quarterly conversations of horticulturists
- Ensures horticulturist on their team are fully and properly trained
- Support, motivate and advise horticulturist team
- Help review no charge replacement work orders once submitted by horticulturist for clarity and ease of replacements prior to installation
- Suggest alternate plant varieties to horticulturist for no charge replacements as needed if an account continues to fail
- Conduct service meetings with horticulturists to address any issues or concerns they may have within their teams
- Assist at department team meetings (all territories)
- Works with management in developing and implementing a comprehensive horticulture training program
- Coordinates special projects with leadership teams (pruning, spraying, night projects, etc.)
- Main point of contact for all service-related issues (ex: poor installs, product needing to be replaced)
- Seek and make suggestions for improvement where needed
- Any additional special projects as needed
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in interior plant care, horticulture, landscaping, or a related green industry field
- Knowledge of tropical plants, plant health care, and interior plant maintenance practices
- Previous mentoring, coaching, or training experience is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with a professional and dependable work style
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Excellent follow-through and attention to detail required
- Familiarity with industry-related software or operational tools preferred
Working Conditions:
- Requires standing, walking, bending, stretching, lifting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday
- Position may involve moderate to physically demanding tasks
- Ability to retain and apply detailed information, processes, and procedures
- Must be able to effectively understand and communicate verbal information
- Ability to remain focused and attentive over extended periods of time without distraction
Pay: From $66,000.00 per year
