Summary of Position
The Innovation Program Coordinator reports to VP of Innovation, Enterprise, and Expansion and will provide operational, administrative, and event coordination support for DPP innovation initiatives and startup programming (pipeline development, capital attraction, corporate connection, and soft landing). This role will ensure the successful coordination of the innovation network, including significant activity with the new digital ‘front door’ initiative, through stakeholder engagement activities, execution of events, and reporting.
Salary and Benefits
$60,000 - $75,000 annually to commensurate with experience in addition to potential annual 10% bonus based on individual and organization performance. Key Responsibilities
Front Door Platform:
- Participate in the development of and implement a strategic plan for the Front Door Website network.
- Coordinate logistics for ‘Front Door’ web vendor and ecosystem partners to facilitate the build out, and operation of ‘Front Door’ platform.
- Maintain program records, databases, CRM entries, and reporting metrics
- Assist with founder communications and stakeholder follow up
Broader Ecosystem Coordination:
- Assist in coordination of logistics for: innovation events, workshops, meetings, ecosystem convenings, and pitch competitions as applicable.
- Assist in managing calendars, registrations, invitations, and event communications
- Support vendor coordination, venue management, catering, AV, and onsite event execution Support sponsorship coordination and partner communications
Innovation Team Coordination:
- Maintain program reporting metrics
- Track deadlines, action items, and deliverables across programs
- Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and briefing documents
- Assist marketing with information for with social media, marketing coordination, and program promotion
- Provide administrative support and other various tasks assigned by VP of Innovation, Enterprise, and Expansion
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, economics, or policy areas, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred minimum of one year of relevant experience that can support the duties required.
- Familiarity with Delaware and its various industries and communities is desirable.
- Proven ability to multi-task and work across a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word) as well as experience with CRM software (DPP uses HubSpot).
- Willingness and ability to travel independently within Delaware. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds for purposes of setting up exhibits or tradeshow booths.
- Position requires extended periods of time sitting at a desk while using a computer keyboard, mouse and monitor as well as walking/standing in tradeshow or event settings.
- Some work is conducted in an office environment though offsite meetings and events are common including some that may occur before/after regular business hours.
- Must be willing to sign a DPP non-disclosure agreement and maintain confidentiality at all times unless doing so is forbidden by law.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with stakeholder groups, such as academia, businesses (including startups), government agencies and elected officials
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate, network, lead, research, negotiate, analyze, and resolve issues among diverse audiences/customers/clients
- Takes initiative to create and strengthen processes and logistics
- Ability to work on several events and initiatives concurrently across innovative technologies
- Effective oral, written, presentation and communication skills
- Familiarity with Delaware and its various industries and communities is desirable
- Setup exhibits or tradeshow booths, walking/standing in tradeshow/event settings
