The Chapman House is a dedicated residential living environment for senior women. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, comfortable, and nurturing home for our residents. We are looking for professional, compassionate, and safety-minded Certified Residential Medication Aids CRMAs) to join our collaborative care team.
Position Summary:
As a CRMA, you will safely administer prescribed medications following physician orders and internal protocols. You will act as a vital link in our care chain by transcribing new orders into Point Click Care (PCC), updating Medication Administration Records (MARs), and monitoring resident well-being. In the absence of upper management, you will serve as the lead building contact, ensuring the house functions safely and smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Management: Administer medications accurately, chart real-time administration, and conduct strict controlled-substance counts using the "Buddy System" during shift changes.
- Documentation & Safety: Transcribe Orders into PCC and update MARs before your shift ends. Co-note and audit peer transcriptions to maintain rigorous multi-check safety protocols.
- Resident Care: Monitor residents for medical or behavioral changes; assist direct care staff with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active Certified Residential Medication Aid (CRMA) Certificate, 40 hour course required. State of Maine Regulatory Licensing & Permitting Registry.
- Active Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certificate on State of Maine Regulatory Licensing & Permitting Registry.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred (Minimum 10th-th grade formal education is required).
- Experience: 1 year of prior experience as a CRMA is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient with electronic charting software (Pont Click Care preferred); strong communication skills; ability to remain calm and lead during emergency situations.
Physical & Enviornmental Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use computers/office equipment regularly.
- Physical condition sufficient to provide limited physical assistance to senior residents.
- Willingness to work in an environment with potential exposure to human waste, body fluids, and medical needles (PPE provided).
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Pay: $16.97 - $23.84 per hour
