Position Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for leading field crews in the safe, efficient, and high-quality erection of pre-engineered metal building systems and structural steel components. This role oversees daily jobsite operations, ensures productivity targets are met, and develops crew members through hands-on leadership and training.

Job Duties:
Field Leadership & Execution
- Lead and supervise crews in the erection of pre-engineered metal buildings, including:
- Structural steel
- Bar joists, decking, and secondary framing
- Wall and roof systems (including insulated panels and architectural metal systems)
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily work activities to meet production goals, responsible for documenting crew hours
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and erection plans
- Ensure proper sequencing of work for maximum efficiency
Equipment & Jobsite Management
- Coordinate use of cranes, telehandlers, manlifts, and other equipment on site
- Maintain organized, safe, and productive jobsite conditions
- Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are used properly, cared for, and ready/available for daily operations
- Maintain company provided assets: vehicles, tools, welders, etc.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Lead daily safety meetings (stretch & flex, hazard awareness, task planning)
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately
- Ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection at all times
Crew Development & Leadership
- Train, mentor, and develop crew members in PEMB erection techniques
- Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment
- Set clear expectations for performance, quality, and behavior
- Lead by example with a strong work ethic and professionalism
Productivity & Quality
- Drive job productivity and meet or exceed production benchmarks (budget, hours, equipment)
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Minimize rework through proper planning and execution
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and other trades
- Provide daily updates on progress, challenges, and resource needs, including completion of necessary paperwork (Daily Reports)
- Coordinate inspections and ensure work meets project specifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in PEMB erection, structural steel, or similar construction
- Proven leadership experience supervising field crews
- Strong knowledge of metal building systems and erection methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and erection drawings
- Proficient in all basic mathematic functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Experience operating or coordinating heavy equipment (cranes, lifts, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills under pressure
- Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at heights above 10 feet
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly

- Must maintain balance and coordination while working on elevated structures
Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
