Job Summary
Mira is looking for dishwashers to join our team! The dishwasher plays an imperative role in the kitchen and is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc.
Mira is a Mediterranean restaurant in the Elmwood Village. The menu highlights the cuisines of Italy, Spain, Greece and other countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea. We will have a strong focus on house made pastas, charcoal grilled meats & vegetables and a Mediterranean focused beverage program.

Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, tableware, pots, and/or pans
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Demonstrating a high level of organization and a sense-of-urgency
- Dishwashers should be energetic and upbeat and have a positive attitude while working
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk continually throughout the duration of a shift
- Frequent bending, stooping and reaching
- This position also ensures the dish washing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility
- Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment
- Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Ensure kitchen floors are clear of clutter and remain clean and dry
- Other duties as assigned, including assisting kitchen staff with food preparation
Qualifications
- Restaurant experience is preferred
- Availability weeknights & weekends is required
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
