Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial, residential, or industrial spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical agents safely by following established safety protocols and handling procedures
- Operate floor buffers, polishers, and other floor care equipment to maintain immaculate flooring surfaces
- Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, restroom cleaning, and surface disinfecting to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and facility upkeep to support overall building maintenance
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy cleaning equipment or materials to prevent injury
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, safety checks, and equipment maintenance for accountability and quality assurance
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor buffing, sanitation procedures, and chemical handling safety is advantageous
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers is beneficial
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to chemical agents and manual handling ensures a secure working environment
- Customer service skills are valuable for interacting professionally with facility occupants or visitors during cleaning routines
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles demonstrates versatility and a strong work ethic
