Position Summary
Reporting to the Division Manager, the Project Manager/Sales Engineer is responsible for the estimating, design, execution, and overall management of commercial plumbing projects. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, supports field operations, develops new business opportunities, and ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and estimate commercial plumbing systems.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to ensure accurate project execution.
- Meet with customers, conduct site visits, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and bids within established turnaround times.
- Coordinate project turnover by providing field teams with complete project documentation and scope details.
- Support project managers, estimators, sales personnel, and field foremen with technical and operational needs.
- Assist with the onboarding, training, and development of team members as directed by the Division Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with plumbing systems, estimating, and design-build projects preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Master Plumber and/or Designer of Engineering (DE) license is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout office, construction, and industrial environments.
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and in outdoor job site conditions as needed.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
