Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Gutter Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining gutters on residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure proper water drainage, protect structures from water damage, and contribute to the overall safety and quality of our projects. Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine gutter placement and specifications.
- Install various types of gutters, including seamless, sectional, and specialty systems, using hand tools and power tools.
- Secure gutters with appropriate fasteners, brackets, and hangers according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure all work complies with construction safety regulations, including the use of safety harnesses when working at heights.
- Perform repairs or replacements on existing gutter systems to improve functionality and prevent water damage.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate installation.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to site safety protocols such as heavy lifting procedures and scaffolding safety.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and fabrication techniques related to gutter installation.
- Experience with roofing, siding installation, stucco work, masonry, or remodeling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and the proper use of safety harnesses.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation processes.
- Skilled in using schematics for precise measurements and layout planning; experience with metal stud framing or carpentry is a plus.
- Knowledge of caulking, trim carpentry, welding, tile laying, plumbing, or restoration work can enhance your effectiveness on diverse projects.
