Grant Thornton is seeking an Independence & Ethics Senior Associate to join the team. Approved office locations can be found below.
Responsibilities
- Ability to learn and apply independence and ethical standards to:
- Personal independence compliance
- Audit/Attest clients and audit affiliate relationships
- Nonaudit and business relationships, including partner rotation
- Assist personnel with various independence inquiries, including assisting with independence audits or review self-audit questionnaires and evaluating non-audit services and business relationships
- Assist in developing and maintaining various independence resources or publications
- Assist with the development of annual firm independence training or other related training requests Independence and Ethics receives from services lines
- Maintain active communication with the Independence and Ethics team while demonstrating strong project management skills while overseeing the efforts of multiple projects
- Motivated self-starter managing multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities in a fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment by leading and collaborating
Skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent written and oral communications
- Strong organization and project management skills, including interpersonal skills
- Team management of staff
- Problem Solving Skills: Resolve problems of team, appropriately identifying and escalating issues based on risk
- Agile: Ability to adapt and accept challenging situations and tasks and perform with the utmost professionalism
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 – 7 years of progressive audit, advisory or tax in a medium to large public accounting firm
- Experience in a professional standards or quality role is a plus
- CPA a plus
The base salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $105,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
