EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In this position, you will lead a bridge inspection team and ensure that structures are evaluated safely and accurately across the district. The work you will do supports statewide efforts to maintain safe, dependable infrastructure. As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor - Bridge Inspection, you will perform the following duties:

Field Inspections: Conduct inspections of bridge structures and evaluate conditions of components such as beams, decks, bearings, and supports

Team Leadership: Guide and support inspection staff, assign tasks, and review completed work for accuracy

Record Management: Maintain inspection documents, forms, photographs, and system data to ensure accurate reporting

Safety Coordination: Work with internal and external partners to safely access bridges and follow safety procedures

Equipment Oversight: Manage inspection equipment, ensure proper maintenance, and identify needs for replacements or upgrades

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008 (before taxes).
