Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage guest seating, handle reservations, and ensure smooth flow within the restaurant or hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, answering any initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest services, and serving procedures is beneficial
- Demonstrated professionalism in phone etiquette and guest relations
