The part-time Adult Softball Officials I & II are responsible for officiating scheduled softball games and programs sponsored or coordinated by the Parks & Recreation Department. A high level of independent judgment is necessary to be an Official. Officials are under the direction of the assigned Leader/Supervisor. All employees are responsible to the City Manager. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.
The pay rates for Softball Officials I & II are as follows:Adult Softball Official I- $17/per gameAdult Softball Official II- $25/per game EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The following duties are illustrative for this position. Keeps the mission, vision, and values of the City of Port St. Lucie and Parks & Recreation Department at the forefront of decision making and action; builds strategic and collaborative relationships and interacts with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provides excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintains high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations.

Officiates Adult Softball games/tournaments in compliance with the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA).

Establishes and maintains an effective, harmonious, cooperative, and productive working relationship with participants including coaches, players, supervisors, and other employees of the Parks & Recreation Department.

Maintains accurate time sheets and turns them into designated supervisor.

Other duties as may be assigned.
