Handyman Helper / Home Improvement Technician (Part-Time or Summer Position)
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
About Us
We are a growing Northern Virginia home improvement company specializing in drywall repair, painting, general handyman services, and residential repairs. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team and assist with a variety of home improvement projects.
This position is ideal for someone with prior experience in handyman work, construction, maintenance, painting, drywall repair, carpentry, or home renovations. Training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist with drywall repair, patching, finishing, and painting projects
- Perform basic handyman tasks and home repairs
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Measure, cut, drill, assemble, and install materials as directed
- Load, unload, and transport tools and materials
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Communicate professionally with homeowners when needed
- Follow company safety procedures and job site protocols
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in handyman work, construction, painting, drywall, carpentry, maintenance, remodeling, landscaping, or related trades
- Demonstrated ability to use common power tools and hand tools
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable and punctual
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift 50–80 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to report directly to job sites throughout Northern Virginia or meet at a predetermined location
Schedule
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available
- Day shift
- Monday–Friday availability preferred
- Occasional weekend work available but not required
