Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseperson to join our dynamic hospitality team! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of maintaining a pristine, welcoming environment for our guests. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all public areas, guest corridors, and service spaces are spotless, well-organized, and adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using appropriate floor care techniques and equipment, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Handle various cleaning tasks across public spaces, guest corridors, lobby areas, and service zones with efficiency and care.
- Safely manage chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed to support housekeeping operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of hotel amenities by replenishing supplies, emptying trash receptacles, and ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout the property.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by coordinating with team members to ensure timely room turnovers and public area upkeep.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns to protect guests and staff alike.
Skills
- Proven experience in floor cleaning, janitorial work, or hotel housekeeping management with a strong understanding of sanitation protocols.
- Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other industrial cleaning tools.
- Knowledgeable about chemical handling procedures, including proper use of cleaning agents and adherence to SDS guidelines for safety.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for manual handling tasks.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and safety.
- Strong organizational skills to manage custodial tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
