Pomona Kia is looking to hire a Certified Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and skilled technician who takes pride in quality repairs, safety, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have previous dealership experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to perform repairs correctly and efficiently. Kia certification is preferred, but we are open to experienced certified technicians from other manufacturers who are willing to train and grow with the Kia brand.
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
Complete repair orders accurately and document all findings, recommendations, and completed work.
Perform warranty repairs, recalls, campaigns, and customer-pay repairs as assigned.
Use factory scan tools, service information, and diagnostic equipment to properly identify and repair vehicle concerns.
Communicate with service advisors regarding needed repairs, parts availability, repair timelines, and additional service recommendations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures.
Assist in maintaining high customer satisfaction by completing repairs correctly the first time.
Participate in ongoing training and manufacturer certification programs.
Qualifications
Previous automotive technician experience required.
ASE certification preferred.
Kia, Hyundai, or import dealership experience is a plus.
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
Ability to perform maintenance, brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, and drivability repairs.
Must have own tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Certifications
Kia Certified Technician preferred.
ASE Certifications preferred.
Smog license is a plus.
Hybrid/EV certification is a plus.
