Hillsboro Community Hospital is a 15-bed critical access hospital located in Marion County, close to Marion Reservoir Lake and on the edge of the scenic Flint Hills. Hillsboro is less than an hour’s drive from Wichita to the South, Salina to the North, Hutchinson to the West, and Emporia to the East.
We pride ourselves on providing top quality medical care for Hillsboro and all of Marion County. Our services include an emergency department, full-service laboratory, inpatient care, physical therapy, radiology, surgery, swing bed, specialty clinics, and a family practice clinic.
We are seeking caring and compassionate Radiology Technologists who would like to work in a more relaxed environment. There are opportunities for newly graduated techs to be introduced to working at a critical access hospital, as well as opportunities for experienced techs to learn new skills or master skills you already have.
Schedules available:
Radiology Technologist Duties:
- Assist patients to and from exam room explaining what is going to happen and answer any questions
- Help patients be comfortable and ensure proper protection is in place
- Review physician orders to ensure complete exam information, preparation requirements, and coding compliancy needs are met
- Consult with Radiologist when necessary
- Follow infection control policies and organize and disinfect work area and equipment
Radiology Technologist Requirements:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from JRCERT approved college or technical program; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in hospital radiologic environment, including CT, preferred but not required.
- Current licensing by the State of Kansas
- BLS certification
