Matrimonial / Family Law Associate – Queens, New York

We are a busy, well-established New York law firm dedicated to helping regular, everyday people navigate some of the most challenging times in their lives. Our practice focuses on matrimonial and family law, and we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, compassionate, and practical legal representation.
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Matrimonial / Family Law Associate to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants hands-on experience, courtroom exposure, and the chance to make a real difference in clients’ lives.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Appear in court and at conferences
- Conduct legal research and case preparation
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Manage cases from intake through resolution
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice in New York
- 1–5 years of matrimonial and/or family law experience preferred (newly admitted candidates with relevant internships or clerkships are encouraged to apply)
- Strong writing, organizational, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
- Compassionate, client-focused mindset
- Courtroom experience is a plus
