Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides direct therapy services to clients under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA assists with implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and supporting communication development goals for students receiving speech services.
Responsibilities

Provide direct speech and language therapy services under SLP supervision

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP

Assist with speech, language, and communication activities

Collect and document student data and progress notes

Prepare therapy materials and activities
-
Collaborate with supervising SLP and IEP team members
-
Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding session activities

Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
-
Active North Carolina SLPA license (or eligibility)

Experience working with school-age populations preferred
-
Experience with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, learning disablilities

Strong communication and organizational skills
