Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. This position is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, maintaining hotel cleanliness standards, and helping create a comfortable and welcoming experience for every guest.
The Hotel Housekeeper, also commonly known as a Room Attendant, plays a key role in the daily operation of the hotel. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean rooms, organized spaces, and being part of a hospitality team that values service, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards
- Make beds, change linens, dust, vacuum, mop, and clean bathrooms
- Replenish towels, amenities, supplies, and guest room items
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and lost and found items
- Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or damaged items to hotel leadership
- Clean and maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, laundry areas, and workspaces
- Assist with public area cleanliness as needed
- Follow proper procedures for handling linens, cleaning chemicals, and guest belongings
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with guests and team members
- Support the housekeeping team and hotel operations during busy periods
Qualifications
Required
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning, janitorial, hotel, or related work experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean spaces
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, lift, push, pull, and complete physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to follow instructions, cleaning standards, and safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred
- Previous hotel housekeeping or room attendant experience
- Experience working in a Wyndham, Marriott, Hilton, IHG, or other branded hotel environment
- Knowledge of hotel guest room cleaning standards
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and cleanliness
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus
