Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our newly build dental practice by ensuring smooth operations and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in various aspects of dentistry.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare surgical rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
- Take X-rays and scans as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing systems such as DentiMax.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Provide support in periodontal dentistry, ensuring a welcoming environment for all patients.
- Assist with implant procedures by preparing materials and instruments as required.
- Perform medical coding for insurance purposes, ensuring accuracy in billing processes.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient experience and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dentistry is preferred; familiarity with surgical dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Experience with dental software systems such as DentiMax is highly desirable.
- Understanding of periodontic and dental coding practices is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
