Duties
- Skillfully braid, twist, and style hair using various techniques to meet client preferences and trends
- Apply hair extensions, coloring, and other styling treatments with precision and creativity
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness according to industry regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening carefully to client needs and offering expert advice
- Assist with retail sales of hair care products, accessories, and styling tools through upselling techniques
- Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as MINDBODY to ensure smooth operations
- Support store management with front desk duties, including greeting clients and handling inquiries
- Mentor junior team members in styling techniques, sanitation practices, and customer engagement
- Perform additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care or hair threading as needed
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or braider with a strong portfolio of styles
- Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment management and client records
- Familiarity with hair coloring techniques, hair extensions installation, and hair styling trends
- Competence in sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and team members to foster a positive atmosphere
- Experience with retail sales, upselling strategies, and retail math to enhance client satisfaction and store revenue
- Background in cosmetology or barbering certifications is preferred but not required; ongoing training encouraged

Pay: $1,956.52 - $2,356.23 per week
