Job Description
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Industrial Store Manager position. The Branch Manager is responsible for directing and supervising the staff and day-to-day operations in the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service and achievement of sales and productivity goals. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the location to achieve desired performance standards and drive sales growth that support the overall strategic direction of the division and Norco
- Create and maintain a high-performing environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation
- Manage store inventory and expenses to established goals including testing, evaluating, documentation and maintenance of appropriate inventory
- Responsible for location budgeting and expenditures
- Responsible for operating income, profit margin reports, personnel costs, incoming and outgoing statement for alignment to goals
- Responsible for vehicle fleet, building and grounds maintenance
- Work with customers and staff to meet customer needs, communicating and resolving problems as needed
- Support preparation of driver routes, log route changes, and driver communication
- May drive delivery route as necessary
- Hire, manage performance, discipline and terminate staff as needed
- Process all employee paperwork in a timely manner coordinating staffing schedules, tracking attendance and prioritizing/delegating job tasks to ensure timely completion
- Lead, train, develop and motivate employees for success in their roles
- Plan, implement and document staff meetings and educational training
- Communicate and enforce all company policies, procedures and safety rules
- Evaluate, document, and correct all safety hazards in and around the location
- Follow Safe work practices in performance of all duties and follow the company's safety policies daily
- Stay informed of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Work well with team
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in management responsibility
- Ability to effectively manage staff
- Previous experience in industrial or welding industry preferred
- Strong organizational and problems solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to adapt to and manage changing priorities
- Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Ability to make decisions using good judgement
- Accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications applicable to the position
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, to a height of 36"
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Valid driver's license
