American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a weekend day shift position requiring ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and the ability to perform both CT and X-ray procedures.

Outpatient radiology setting within a multi-facility health system
-
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)

36 hours per week

Must be able to perform X-ray in addition to CT imaging

2–3 call shifts every 6 weeks, which may require floating to other facilities within the health system

Charting in Cerner
-
ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology required; ARRT registration in CT preferred
-
Active SC or compact state license required (license required if applicable)

Current AHA BLS certification required

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
-
Completion of an accredited CT program preferred
-
High school diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Allied Health program preferred

Ability to frequently stand, walk, lift/move patients, and handle up to 50 lbs intermittently
-
Must be able to work in environments with radiation exposure, bloodborne pathogens, and infectious materials

Performs CT examinations of designated anatomical areas under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols

Assists radiologists during procedures and provides supervision and clinical education to student radiologic technologists

Responsible for patient preparation, obtaining informed consent, and communicating discharge instructions to family members
-
Ensures correct orders, diagnoses, and clinical history are accurately entered into the system, and communicates findings with the radiologist

Adheres to ALARA radiation safety principles and follows DHEC, TJC, OSHA, and FDA standards and regulations

Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
-
Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment
